Peirano, Old Vine Zinfandel 2021

The Peirano family have been farming and producing wine in California's Lodi for over 5 generations. Boasting some of the oldest vines the region has to offer (Zinfandel over 130 years old!) they are all about refinement and making distinctively rich and balanced wines. Deep burgundy in the glass, this Old Vine Zinfandel dazzles with spiced blackberry, cherry, raspberry, and baking spices. On the palate, it’s rich and juicy with layered notes of blackcurrant, blackberry pie, liquorice, mocha, and tobacco, framed by supple tannins and lively acidity. Skin-fermented and aged 24 months in French and American oak (15% new), it’s both plush and vibrant: a timeless, soulful Zin.
